Terms of Use
Last updated: July 9, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of specgit.com and related services ("specgit" or the "Service"), provided by Fn First Holdings LLC ("Fn First," "we," "our," or "us"). By using specgit, you agree to these Terms.
1. Use of the Service
specgit lets you edit, comment on, and review documents stored in GitHub repositories you can access. You may use specgit only in compliance with these Terms, GitHub's terms, and all applicable laws.
2. GitHub Access
specgit works through your GitHub account. You authorize us to use your GitHub connection to perform actions you request, such as reading repository files, creating review branches, committing edits, opening or updating pull requests, merging pull requests, and posting comments. You are responsible for the repositories, organizations, and permissions connected to your GitHub account.
3. Your Content
Your documents, comments, images, repositories, and other content remain yours or your organization's. We do not claim ownership of your content. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate specgit and perform the actions you request through the Service.
Feedback. If you choose to send us feedback about specgit — such as suggestions, ratings of AI responses, or an AI conversation transcript you explicitly opt to share — you grant Fn First a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that feedback to operate, diagnose, and improve the Service. Feedback is always voluntary, and AI conversation content is never collected without your explicit consent. Handling and retention are described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use specgit for unlawful, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent activity;
- attempt to bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits, or security controls;
- access repositories or information you are not permitted to access;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
- upload or create content that infringes someone else's rights; or
- use specgit to transmit malware, spam, or intentionally harmful code.
5. Service Changes and Availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of specgit at any time. We try to keep the Service reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
6. Third-Party Services
specgit depends on third-party services, including GitHub and Microsoft Azure. Your use of those services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.
7. Intellectual Property
specgit, including its software, design, branding, and underlying technology, is owned by Fn First or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of specgit to you. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Service except as allowed by law or with our written permission.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use specgit. By using the Service, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
9. Termination
You may stop using specgit at any time and revoke GitHub access from your GitHub account settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the Service or others, or if we are required to do so by law.
10. Disclaimers
specgit is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, and accuracy.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fn First will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities. Fn First's total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed US $50 or the amount you paid us for specgit in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Fn First from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of specgit, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
13. Governing Law
Except where local law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Any unresolved dispute will be filed exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California. You and Fn First waive any right to a jury trial.
14. Updates
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date above. Continued use of specgit after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
